Full Job Description

The People & Culture Partner serves as the primary people-focused partner for designated divisions within Mental Health Association Oklahoma. This role provides support across recruiting, employee relations, employee experience, employee development, and other activities across the employee lifecycle. The People & Culture Partner builds strong relationships with leaders and employees to foster a positive workplace culture, support organizational objectives, and ensure employees receive exceptional support throughout their employment journey.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters within assigned divisions.
Provide guidance to leaders and employees regarding workplace concerns, performance issues, and conflict resolution.
Conduct employee relations reviews and investigations as needed.
Promote positive employee and leader relationships through proactive communication and coaching.
Support the consistent application of organizational policies and practices.

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned divisions.
Partner with leaders to understand departmental job functions better support recruitment process.
Conduct candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring process support.
Facilitate onboarding activities and ensure a positive candidate experience.

Employee Experience

Serve as a trusted resource for employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Partner with leaders to identify opportunities to improve workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
Assist in facilitating employee feedback and engagement activities.

Employee Development

Support employee development initiatives and career growth discussions.
Coordinate training and development opportunities for assigned divisions.
Assist leaders in identifying employee development needs and opportunities.

Employee Lifecycle Support

Support workforce changes and organizational transitions, to include transfers, promotions and terminations.
Maintain accurate employee documentation and records related to assigned activities.
Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee transactions and personnel actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Leadership Partnership

Build trusted relationships with leaders to support workforce effectiveness.
Provide guidance regarding employee concerns, team dynamics, and organizational culture.
Identify workforce trends and recommend solutions to improve employee outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field. (Associates Degree plus 5 years’ experience in related field may be considered).
2+ years of experience in recruiting, employee relations, human resources, talent management, or related disciplines.
Experience supporting leaders and employees in a consultative capacity.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Must be proficient with MS Office applications: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Previous experience utilizing Paycom HCM software – strongly preferred.

Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or human services settings is a plus.
Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.

WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Office work is performed in climate-controlled office setting with a moderate noise level that includes sounds of normal office equipment.
No environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
Work hours are typically 8-5 M-F, but overtime may be necessary on occasion due to business needs.
Some travel to Oklahoma City is required; must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Physical ability to move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and staff behavior.
Physical mobility and endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for extended periods of time (60 minutes or more).
Ability to safely and effectively use office equipment.
