Paragon IT Staffing is recruiting a senior Microsoft 365 administrator for a Fortune 500 energy client at their Tulsa headquarters. This is a 12-month contract on a hybrid schedule — four days onsite, one day remote. Local candidates only; relocation assistance is not available.
PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING — ON-CALL REQUIREMENT: This role includes a rotating on-call schedule shared with one other administrator. You will be primarily responsible for Priority 1 (critical) production outages, including limited after-hours response and occasional overnight work. Candidates must be comfortable with this level of support to be considered.
INTERVIEW PROCESS: Round 1 is a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager covering behavioral and technical topics. Round 2 is a one-hour virtual panel interview. Please be prepared to share availability for both when you apply.
What you'll own
You will lead end-to-end administration, engineering, licensing, and governance of the enterprise Microsoft 365 platform — Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, and Entra ID. This is a tenant-wide ownership role, not a team-scoped one.
- Monitor the Microsoft 365 roadmap, evaluate emerging capabilities for business value and security fit, and guide testing, staging, and production readiness
- Provide Tier 3 support, lead root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews, and document solutions that improve platform stability
- Manage enterprise identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID — SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access controls, identity governance, and permissions reviews
- Strengthen security and compliance using Microsoft Purview, Insider Risk Management, data classification, DLP, retention, and eDiscovery
- Build and configure SharePoint sites and manage SharePoint permissions and security
- Administer Microsoft 365 licensing (E3/E5), including cost optimization and right-sizing license requests
- Present roadmap recommendations and business value to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within a broader team
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED with 15+ years of IT experience, OR an Associate's degree with 10+ years, OR a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with 8+ years (10–15 years preferred)
- Deep, hands-on Microsoft 365 administration at enterprise tenant scale
- Strong administration experience across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity and access administration
- Microsoft 365 licensing (E3/E5) administration and optimization
- Senior-level (Tier 3) production support experience
- Willing and able to participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation described above
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with business stakeholders and executive leadership
- Must be local to the Tulsa, OK metro area and able to work onsite four days per week
Preferred: Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention policies, and general Microsoft 365 security exposure.
