Senior Construction Estimator

Wikota Design & Construction and Fabrication
Location: Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX (Brookshire/Katy area) – Office-based with occasional travel between locations and project sites as needed

Wikota Design & Construction and Fabrication is a client-centric EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in high-quality, cost-effective solutions for industrial and energy infrastructure projects. Our expertise includes midstream, pipelines, renewable natural gas (RNG), helium processing, compression, CO₂ capture, lithium recovery, and more. With offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the Greater Houston area (Brookshire, TX), we deliver projects on time and within budget while minimizing installed costs for our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with proven expertise in civil, electrical, and mechanical estimating to join our growing team. This is a key role in supporting accurate bidding, cost control, and value-driven project delivery for complex energy and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive construction cost estimates for civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes on EPC projects.
Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and risk assessments by reviewing drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
Solicit, analyze, negotiate, and award subcontractor and vendor bids.
Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and construction teams to align estimates with project goals, schedules, and company standards.
Conduct value engineering, cost optimization, and contingency planning.
Maintain and update historical cost databases, unit pricing, and estimating best practices.
Support proposal development, client presentations, and bid reviews.
Stay current with industry trends, labor rates, material costs, and construction methodologies in the energy sector.

Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of progressive construction estimating experience with specific expertise in civil, electrical, and mechanical estimating.
Strong background in industrial/energy sector projects (midstream, pipelines, oil & gas facilities, or heavy civil preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam Revu, or similar), advanced Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
Willingness to be based in (or relocate to) Tulsa, OK or the Houston, TX area, with occasional travel.
