PART-TIME ACUPUNCTURIST
Tuesdays & Thursdays | Established Tulsa Practice
Lotus Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is seeking a skilled, compassionate acupuncturist to join our established Tulsa clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Initially, training will be given on MWF with flexibility.
This is an opportunity to step into a respected practice with existing patient demand, equipped treatment rooms, administrative support, and room to grow. We are looking for a thoughtful clinician who listens carefully, sees the whole patient, and wants to help people make meaningful progress—not simply move them through an assembly line.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide individualized acupuncture care for patients with a wide variety of concerns, including:
- Chronic and acute pain
- Stress, anxiety, and sleep concerns
- Women’s health and fertility support
- Neurological and musculoskeletal conditions
- Digestive and general wellness concerns
- Complex or stubborn health problems that have not responded adequately to other care
The initial schedule will focus on training, then your schedule will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the potential for additional hours as your patient schedule grows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct patient consultations and appropriate clinical assessments
- Develop and clearly explain individualized treatment plans
- Provide safe, attentive acupuncture treatments
- Accurately document care in the clinic’s electronic health record
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans appropriately
- Communicate professionally with patients and clinic staff
- Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms
- Follow all applicable safety, privacy, infection-control, and documentation standards
- Participate in clinic training and established operating procedures
- Support a calm, respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited acupuncture or East Asian medicine program
- Current NCCAOM certification or eligibility
- Current Clean Needle Technique certification
- Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain it before beginning work
- Extensive computer skills will be necessary. Google services, EHR, AI, etc.
- Must be able to ultimately work mostly alone on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Eligibility to practice acupuncture in Oklahoma under all applicable requirements
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills
- Dependability, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and excellent boundaries
- You absolutely MUST be open to practicing according to Lotus's SOP's, standards of care, and brand in every way. Your treatment points will be up to you, but we have a very specialized way of practice that must be followed at all times.
Preferred:
- Experience treating chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, women’s health, or fertility patients
- Experience working in a busy private practice
- Comfort developing and presenting treatment plans
- Interest in integrative modalities such as photobiomodulation/cold laser, infrared therapy, or shockwave therapy
- Desire to build a long-term position within an established practice
WHO WILL THRIVE HERE
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Want enough time to listen to patients and understand the larger clinical picture
- Take patient concerns seriously and help people feel genuinely heard
- Can work independently while respecting established clinic systems
- Welcome feedback and value continued professional development
- Understand that warmth and professionalism can coexist
- Want to build a loyal patient base without carrying the full burden of owning a practice
- Treat patients inclusively and respectfully regardless of identity, background, or beliefs
