Full Job Description

About the Role

Newmerica is scaling its call center into a professionally managed team of appointment setters. The Call Center Manager will be the first dedicated leader for this team, responsible for building a high-performing, part-time staff, standardizing outreach quality, and driving the appointment volume needed to increase revenue over the coming years.

What You'll Do

Recruit, hire, and train part-time appointment setters for our call center — targeting consistent and loyal staff, not just college students.
Manage day-to-day staff performance, dedicating approximately 4–5 hours per day to active oversight, coaching, and support.
Standardize the appointment process, ensuring uniformity across pitches, voicemails, and email templates so every rep represents Newmerica consistently.
Drive performance improvement, growing average output per rep from roughly 2 appointments/month to 3+ appointments/month early in each rep's tenure.
Lead team growth, roughly doubling staff size within 6 months as part of the Phase 2 expansion plan (and again in Phase 3).
Manage data accuracy — ensuring the lists, contacts, and targeting data used by the team are current and reliable.
Own hiring/firing decisions and contractor compliance, including securing proper 1099 documentation for independent contractor reps.
Evaluate emerging tools, including piloting AI-assisted outbound voice and email outreach.

What Success Looks Like

Rep productivity trending from 2 to 3 kept appointments/month
Staff headcount scaling from 3 to 6+ reps within 6 months of hire
Consistent, on-brand messaging across all outbound channels
Reliable, high-quality lead/contact data feeding the team's calls

Compensation

This role is structured to scale with the business:

Approx. Total Package

Phase 1 (ramp-up)

$60,000 base + $100 per kept appointment ~ $82,000

Phase 2 (team at scale)

$80,000 base + $100 per kept appointment ~ $123,000

Compensation increases are tied to team growth and appointment volume as the call center moves through its phased expansion.

Ideal Candidate

Prior experience managing or supervising a sales, appointment-setting, or call center team
Strong coaching skills — comfortable running role-plays and refining scripts
Highly organized, hands-on manager comfortable with day-to-day floor management
Experience with (or curiosity about) AI-assisted tools is a plus
Familiarity with 1099 contractor management and basic HR/compliance practices

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
