Head of Recruitment
Tulsa, OK
Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $60,000–$72,000, depending on experience
This is not a typical recruiting job.
We are looking for someone who is ready for more.
Maybe you are already a strong recruiter. You know how to find people, build pipelines, move candidates through the process, and get positions filled.
But you are ready to stop being just one recruiter inside someone else's system.
You want the opportunity to build the system.
We are a rapidly growing healthcare organization based in Tulsa, and we are looking for a Head of Recruitment who can help build the workforce behind our next stage of growth.
You will initially be hands-on. You will recruit. You will source. You will interview. You will solve problems.
But the long-term opportunity is much bigger.
As the company grows, this role is expected to grow with it. You will have the opportunity to build recruiting processes, develop new sourcing strategies, help forecast staffing needs, and ultimately build and lead a recruiting team underneath you.
We are looking for someone who sees that opportunity and thinks:
“Give me the responsibility. I’ll build it.”
What You’ll Own
You will be responsible for ensuring that our recruiting pipeline stays ahead of the needs of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning recruiting efforts across multiple healthcare positions, including caregivers, CNAs/HHAs, RNs and LPNs
- Building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines before positions become urgent
- Managing job postings and recruiting platforms such as Indeed
- Identifying new and creative candidate sourcing channels
- Screening and interviewing candidates
- Moving qualified candidates quickly through the hiring process
- Developing relationships with nursing programs, CNA programs, community organizations and other recruiting sources
- Building employee referral and candidate re-engagement strategies
- Tracking recruiting performance and identifying where candidates are being lost in the funnel
- Working closely with operations and leadership to understand future staffing requirements
- Helping develop 30-, 60- and 90-day workforce forecasts
- Creating scalable recruiting processes as the company expands
- Eventually helping hire, train and manage additional recruiters and recruiting support staff
What Success Looks Like
This role has a simple mandate:
The company should not be unable to grow because we cannot find enough good people.
You will know:
- How many people we need
- Where we need them
- What positions are becoming difficult to fill
- How many candidates are in the pipeline
- Where those candidates are coming from
- How quickly candidates are moving through the process
- What recruiting strategies are working
- Where we need to adjust before staffing becomes a problem
We are not looking for someone who waits for a manager to say, “We need someone immediately.”
We want someone who is already working on that hire weeks before the need becomes urgent.
Who We Are Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are currently a recruiter or senior recruiter and feel ready to take the next step in your career.
Ideally, you have:
- 3+ years of recruiting experience
- Experience in healthcare, home care, home health, hospice, skilled nursing, healthcare staffing or another high-volume workforce environment
- Experience recruiting nurses, caregivers, CNAs, HHAs or other healthcare professionals
- Strong experience using Indeed and other recruiting platforms
- Experience sourcing candidates rather than relying solely on incoming applications
- Strong interviewing and candidate-assessment skills
- The ability to organize and manage a high-volume recruiting pipeline
- Comfort working with recruiting metrics and spreadsheets
- Strong follow-up and communication skills
- A sense of urgency
- The confidence to take ownership of problems instead of waiting for someone else to solve them
Previous recruiting management experience is helpful, but it is not required.
We are more interested in finding someone with the ability and ambition to become a great recruiting leader than someone who already has the perfect title on their résumé.
The Person We Think Will Thrive Here
You are competitive with yourself.
You like seeing numbers move.
An open position bothers you.
You follow up when other people would move on.
You enjoy figuring out why something isn't working.
You don't need a giant corporate recruiting department around you to be effective.
You are comfortable building while you are operating.
And when you see something that could be better, your instinct is to fix it.
Most importantly, you want your next position to be somewhere you can grow your responsibility, build a team and have a visible impact on the company.
The Opportunity
This is intended to become more than an individual recruiting position.
Our goal is to give the right person the opportunity to build the recruiting function alongside the growth of the company.
That could mean progressing from:
Head of Recruitment
to
Director of Recruitment / Talent Acquisition
and potentially into broader leadership responsibility as the organization continues to expand.
Your growth here will be tied to the scope of what you are capable of building and leading.
We are looking for someone who wants to look back several years from now and be able to say:
“I helped build that department.”
Compensation
$60,000–$72,000 annually, depending on experience
This is a salaried leadership-track position.
We are intentionally keeping the compensation structure straightforward. We are not looking to build a commission-style recruiting role. We want someone who takes ownership of the function, performs at a high level, and grows in responsibility and compensation as their role within the organization expands.
Location
Tulsa, Oklahoma
This is primarily an on-site role. Recruiting is closely connected to our operations, leadership team and company culture, and we want this person to become an integral part of the organization.
Why This Role Exists
We are growing.
That growth creates opportunity, but it also creates a responsibility to make sure the organization around that growth is built correctly.
Recruiting is going to be one of the most important functions in determining how far and how quickly we can grow.
That is why we are not simply looking for another recruiter.
We are looking for the person who can eventually lead recruiting for the company.
If you are hungry for that opportunity, we would like to meet you.
