At Bios, a Program Manager (PM) plays a pivotal role in leading a team dedicated to supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in living meaningful lives and actively participating in their communities. Bios PMs oversee the coordination of personalized programming, ensuring that services align with each individual’s goals and aspirations. They also provide hands-on leadership to direct support professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

A minimum of four years of combined college-level education and/or full-time professional experience.
Proven experience supporting people with disabilities, demonstrating a commitment to person-centered practices.
Strong leadership skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in diverse technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite and Power Apps.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay organized, adapt to change, and remain solution-focused in dynamic environments.
Valid Driver's License
Current Auto Insurance (in your name)
Ability to pass a background check
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination

Actively promote Bios' philosophy through all programming, ensuring alignment with the organization's principles and mission of “empowering people to reach their dreams.”
Ensure all programming adheres to Bios' statement of principles, emphasizing quality and person-centered practices.
Serve as a positive ambassador of Bios Companies, upholding its ideals and values in all interactions.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of each person’s program, including but not limited to:
Individual Plan/Person-Centered Service Plan (IP/PCSP)
Positive Intervention Plan/Behavior Support Plan/Effective Teaching and Learning Plan (PIP/BSP/ETL)
Health care needs, money management, household and personal care, and other individualized supports.
Serve as Health Care Coordinator for all people supported in the programs managed.
Oversee all aspects of the person’s healthcare programming
Participate in healthcare appointments and oversee follow up and documentation
Oversee medication management
Ensure healthcare documentation is completed and maintained
Monitor healthcare equipment and supplies
Observe early signs and symptoms of illnesses and conditions and pursue appropriate interventions
Maintain consistent and regular communication with healthcare providers.
Actively participate in interdisciplinary team processes by attending support team meetings and maintaining regular communication with people supported, their guardians, and team members.
Complete regular reviews of all aspects of each person’s program, documenting critical updates and maintaining accurate records.
Notify appropriate state department representatives, Bios administration, guardians, and other team members in the event of emergencies, ensuring all protocols are followed.
Monitor and report all safety concerns and assist injured staff in navigating the workers’ compensation process.
Maintain fiscal oversight of the program, adhering to Bios’ Wage Cost Analysis guidelines, ensuring positive net income, and monitoring financial aspects such as authorizations, overtime, personal funds, Social Security benefits, household budget, SNAP funds, etc.
Ensure all training and certifications for staff are current and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as individual IP/PCSP requirements.

Frontline Supervision

Recruit, train, and supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure they deliver the highest quality of care.
Provide direct care services as needed and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
Guarantee that DSPs have emergency access to the management support at all times.
Supervise DSPs’ documentation, ensuring accurate and timely records that justify services, maintain home records, and meet all compliance standards.
Conduct regular site visits for program oversight:
Complete weekly monitoring visits, including one overnight visit (8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.) and one weekend visit.
Two of the three visits must be unannounced.
Document detailed site visit reports, perform monthly soft audits, and conduct hard audits on both the environment and records.
Regularly review medications and take action to resolve issues/concerns.
Oversee employee retention efforts, including performance evaluations, according to Bios policies and procedures.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to promote professional growth and job satisfaction with employees.
Oversee the training and certification of all employees to maintain compliance with state, federal, and IP/PCSP requirements.
Address financial, operational, and personnel-related challenges promptly and effectively, collaborating with the Lead Program Manager as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Area Director, or executive leadership.
