Full Job Description

Jenks, Oklahoma newest and brightest Hotel is now hiring. Friendly guest service agents needed! A warm and friendly smile can turn a stressful travel day into the relief and relaxation of feeling at home. Front Desk Hosts check guests in, answer questions, and are a general resource that guests can rely on. Are you friendly by nature? Do you enjoy making others feel welcome? Are you always the one offering to be the host? Then being a front desk host might be a rewarding career for you. You can help create a home away from home for guests as you expand your career in the hospitality industry. Front desk host positions are great ways to learn the inner workings of a hotel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Meeting and greeting customers with a warm welcome and smile. Handling customer complaints and comments. Complete daily checklist as required. Ensure any cash overage/shortage is accounted for and balanced. Adhering to rate and credit policies and procedures. Addressing problems and concerns. Lead by example for all team members. Attend departmental meetings to review guest scores, new procedures and other important information. Knowledge and operation of IHG computer systems a big plus. Communicate with all hotel departments efficiently. Check guest in/out, room assignments and special request. Knowledge of accounting, cash handling, credit and billing procedures for all transactions.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Customer service experience required. High school diploma.

COMPETENCIES Excellence in communication both verbal and written. Time management and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, well organized, and goal-oriented. Excellent customer service skills. Computer software skills.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Reports to the General Manager and AGM. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK 7am-3pm and/or 3pm-11pm This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
