Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mortgage Manager to lead our mortgage lending operations and deliver exceptional service to our members. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire loan process, from origination to closing, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Your expertise will drive the success of our mortgage programs, foster strong member relationships, and support our team in achieving operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about financial services and helping individuals achieve their homeownership goals.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the mortgage department and assigned teams
Lead, coach, and develop loan officers and processing staff to achieve performance goals
Review and approve mortgage loan applications within delegated authority
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company lending regulations, including underwriting standards
Monitor loan pipeline, productivity, and key performance metrics
Resolve escalated client issues and manage complex loan situations
Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and strategic partners
Analyze financial data, credit reports, and risk factors to support sound lending decisions
Ensure adherence to all NCUA laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies to mitigate risk and uphold ethical standards
Prepare and present performance reports and trend analysis to senior management
Underwrite files
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred) OR
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Credit Union mortgage lending
At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
Strong knowledge of Credit Union underwriting guidelines and loan products
Solid understanding of lending laws, regulatory compliance, and risk management
