Personal Vehicle Delivery Driver (PVD) – 1099 Independent Contractor

Location: Tupelo, MS
Compensation: $100 per day (1099 Independent Contractor)
Drive Your Own Vehicle. (No Cargo vans or pick-up without a cover)
Joint Logistics is an Independent Service Provider (ISP) contracted with FedEx Ground seeking dependable 1099 Independent Contractors to provide package delivery services using their own personal vehicles.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, have a reliable vehicle, and are committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver FedEx Ground packages within an assigned delivery area.
- Load, organize, and scan packages before and during deliveries.
- Follow established delivery routes while meeting service expectations.
- Operate your personal vehicle safely and professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery records using a handheld scanner or mobile application.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route status and delivery issues.
- Provide excellent customer service at every stop.
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws and safety requirements.
Contractor Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle in safe operating condition.
- Current vehicle registration.
- Personal automobile insurance meeting minimum state requirements.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Smartphone with reliable data service.
- Strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
Insurance Requirement: Applicants must maintain automobile insurance that specifically covers the use of their personal vehicle for package delivery. A commercial auto policy or business-use endorsement may be required before employment, subject to company policy and insurance carrier requirements.
