Job Description:
As a Field Data Collection Specialist at Hexad Solutions Group, you will be responsible for gathering and updating critical telecom infrastructure data in the field. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality and efficiency of our telecom services. This position requires a candidate who is not only dedicated to data collection but also willing to travel to various locations. We are open to candidates with or without prior experience and will provide the necessary training. Adaptability and an eagerness to learn are the primary traits we value most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection: Conduct field surveys to collect and verify telecom infrastructure data, including equipment locations, cable paths, and signal strength.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of data collection activities.
- Equipment Inspection: Inspect and report on the condition of telecom equipment and infrastructure.
- GPS Mapping: Use GPS and mapping tools to record and update geographical information.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Travel: Be prepared to travel to various locations for data collection assignments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with colleagues to share findings and insights.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the field to ensure a secure working environment.
Travel Details:
Assignments are primarily located within the Southeast US, with exceptions. This role requires weekday travel with most weekends spent at home; the maximum travel duration is typically two weeks. A company vehicle is provided when travel is required, and a weekly per diem is issued to cover lodging and meals while in the field.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant technical or telecom certification is a plus).
- No prior experience required; we are committed to training the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately record data.
- Basic knowledge of telecom infrastructure and equipment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using GPS and mapping tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed, travel by airfare could be required.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
