Our well-established Client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Construction Bookkeeper for this IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORUNITY!

Salary - $72k to $75k per year – (possibly higher for an exceptional candidate)

Benefits – Excellent Benefits

Job Location – Stanislaus County, will be moving to Escalon in late Fall

Hours - Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, full-cycle Bookkeeper with payroll experience to oversee our daily financial operations. In this role, you will manage full cycle accounts payable/receivables process payroll, and ensure strict compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Process, code, and pay vendor invoices and subcontractor payment applications. Resolve discrepancies and maintain healthy vendor relationships.
Prepare progress billings, track outstanding receivables, and conduct commercial collections to ensure healthy cash flow.
Prepare and post journal entries (JEs), maintain the general ledger (GL), and perform month-end reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
Generate customized financial reports and budget summaries using accounting software and Excel.
Administer payroll. Verify timecards, track job costs, and maintain accurate payroll records.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a construction environment.
Deep understanding of construction billing, lien waivers, and state/federal tax compliance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and construction-specific accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Contractor, Sage 300, or Procore).
