PTB works with architects, brokers, asset managers and clients in constructing commercial offices throughout California. Our services range from design-build construction and project management to value-engineering and consulting.

With happy clients ranging from household names like Microsoft, Nickelodeon and USC, PTB has the experience and vision to create truly custom spaces our clients can be proud of.

Job Summary:

HR Generalist/Office Manager to proactively lead employee relations, labor law compliance, and office administration for a growing Commercial General Contractor with 50 employees. Full-time onsite position in Newport Beach from 7am-4pm M-F.

Responsibilities

Manage employee relations, timekeeping, expense tracking, and internal communication.
Monitor wage and hour tracking and submit bi-weekly pay data to payroll processor.
Audit daily hours, breaks, and OT via Workforce/QB and follow up with employees on discrepancies and violations.
Coordinate time off: vacation approvals, accruals, sick time, leaves of absence
Track insurance deductions, wage garnishments, and Cal Savers contributions.
Maintain employee files, payroll records, and insurance information
Track employee expenses, receipts, and reimbursements and ensure policies are followed.
Recruitment and onboarding - place job ads, match candidates with role requirements, conduct initial interviews, and complete new hire documentation and orientation.
Benefits administration - employee enrollment, yearly renewals, bill reconciliation.
Manage terminations - exit meetings, final pay, legal documentation, unemployment disputes.
Incident investigations and worker’s compensation claims.
Coordinate with IT and phone carriers on equipment orders and tech support.
Plan events, celebrations, gifts

Qualifications

3+ years experience in an HR management role
Knowledge of current employment laws
Strong communication skills
Strong ability to stay organized and proactive
Friendly and helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
