SUMMARY:
Full-time position with a dual supervisory and clinical role. Serves as the supervisor of a small team that provides screening, assessment, level one SUD treatment and community-based services (skills building, recovery coaching, and case management). Supervises all clinical aspects of these programs by directing, consulting, and monitoring the work of staff. Leads and trains behavioral health staff engaged in related program patient care activities. Has clinical case load which will include psychosocial evaluation/assessment and diagnosing, mental health therapy, SUD counseling therapy, group therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services in an outpatient setting.
$57,000 - $85,250 annually DOE.
$20,000 longevity bonus
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or an equivalent field. Current State of Idaho Clinical Social Worker/Clinical Counselor license in good standing required or license eligible. IBADCC Clinical Supervisor certification, or eligibility (IDAPA 16.07.20.216.02) is required.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Position requires: a) provision of intensive, integrated professional SUD services and treatment planning in a clinical and/or outpatient environment; b) provision of professional leadership in the determination of appropriate therapeutic approaches and methods; c) planning and implementing outreach/education programs, workshops, and activities; d) supervising clinical activities of therapists, community based staff and/or interns for identified program e) establishment and maintenance of case files and related documents for clinical and legal purposes.

Collaborate with the BH Director and therapists to determine continuum of care for program participants.

Direct program staff in the day-to-day provision of family-focused, trauma-informed services.

Collaborate with BH Director to complete annual employee reviews for program staff.
-
Involved in the peer review committee, reporting summary and concerns to the BH Director.
-
Provide MH & SUD counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to patients and families as appropriate to the position; prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs; and provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.

Collect data about patients through interview, case history, screenings, and observational techniques; evaluate data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper level of care or referral to other specialists.

Consult with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and casework; and refer patients to appropriate service agencies as required.

Provide and arrange for MH & SUD interventions as appropriate for patients in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problems.

Review and sign support services documentation as required by Medicaid protocols.

Regular supervision meetings with program staff.

Refer patients to appropriate social service agencies for financial assistance and other required services.

Follow up to determine reliability of treatment used and change method and degree of therapy when indicated.

Establish and maintain case files, referrals, and other related documents for the treatment of patients; prepare related documentation for civil commitment hearings or other legal proceedings; and keep abreast of patient data to ensure appropriate treatment and care are delivered.

Consult with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to patient records, rights, and responsibilities.

Plan and facilitate community outreach and education activities, as appropriate to the position and may serve as a liaison and representative to community organizations and schools.

As appropriate to the position, perform various administrative functions such as monitoring budgets and preparing reports and correspondence. May participate in a variety of research projects to develop service plans and may propose changes to program policies and procedures.

May provide formal teaching, consultation, and in-service training to relevant professionals in immediate and proper handling of and referral of a variety of matters.
