Position ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation

Line Cooks play a critical role in setting the kitchen up for success each day by preparing high-quality ingredients and maintaining organized workstations. Responsibilities include:

Preparing fresh ingredients according to recipes and specifications
Assisting with daily food preparation and portioning as directed
Following prep lists and recipes accurately and consistently
Maintaining proper portioning and labeling standards
Completing daily prep sheets and communicating inventory needs
Properly storing, rotating, and restocking products after each shift

Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness

A clean and organized kitchen is essential to our success. Team members are expected to:

Keep prep stations, equipment, coolers, and work areas clean and organized throughout the shift
Follow the standard: "If you see something that needs to be done, do it, delegate it, or report it."
Wash, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
Assist with daily cleaning tasks and scheduled deep-cleaning projects
Help maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Inventory & Deliveries

Line Cooks assist in maintaining product quality and kitchen organization by:

Monitoring ingredient levels and communicating inventory needs to kitchen leadership
Assisting with receiving and organizing deliveries
Properly labeling, dating, rotating, and storing products following FIFO procedures
Maintaining clean and organized coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas

Food Safety & Sanitation

All kitchen team members are expected to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation by:

Following all local health department regulations and company food safety standards
Practicing proper handwashing and safe food handling procedures
Maintaining clean workstations and storage areas at all times
Reporting any food safety concerns immediately to management

Requirements

Previous kitchen or food preparation experience required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to communicate and follow instructions in English
Clean, professional appearance and proper kitchen attire
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Ability to work well as part of a team
