Job Summary
The Physician Recruitment Coordinator supports the growth of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler and UT Health East Texas by assisting the physician recruiters with the logistics of the recruitment process to result in the successful placement of physician candidates.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the physician recruiter with the facilitation of site visits for the physician candidate and spouse or significant other, including arrangements for travel, lodging, meals, welcome gift, itineraries, and providing transportation, as needed.

Assist the physician recruiter with candidate virtual interview process through telephone coordination and confirmation with both the candidate and the interviewer, as needed.

Collaborate with team members regularly for high efficiency.

Maintain current tracking of all candidates on active searches.

Maintain monthly and year end reporting on all signed candidates.

Process documentation for monthly physician recruitment budget reconciliation and audits.

Process physician recruitment expense reports.

Develop and maintain working knowledge of the health system and regional communities to assist with candidate inquiries.

Attend team meetings and recruitment meetings, as needed.

Develop and maintain relationships with local restaurants/hotels for scheduling and invoicing.

Assemble and distribute all collateral materials for physician recruitment.

Monitor and maintain office supplies and items needed for site visits.

Establish high reach work objectives, personally track and report on performance.

Assist in the design, ordering, and stocking of physician recruitment promotional items, literature, packets, and brochures, as needed.

Develop and maintain current knowledge and trends for compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines.

Aid with the documentation needed for the completion of the pre-credentialing process, as needed, including references, background check, license verification and other screening as needed.

Process candidate reimbursement for reimbursable expenses incurred.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
-
Two (2) years’ experience in a related field of work.
-
May accept a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education/Experience

One (1) year experience working within healthcare, sales, marketing.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.

Clinical Position Requirements
Clinical positions require pre-screening through our Occupational Health department, including a drug test. Employees are required to obtain annual influenza vaccines.
