Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an MRI Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise in operating MRI scanners and other medical imaging equipment will directly contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to patient safety, advanced imaging techniques, and collaborative healthcare delivery. You will be responsible for preparing patients, performing imaging procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality throughout every scan.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners and related medical imaging equipment with precision and care to produce clear, diagnostic images.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan.
Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures including CT scans, DEXA scans (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry), sonography, and vascular access imaging as needed.
Follow strict patient safety protocols, including aseptic techniques and equipment safety procedures, to prevent contamination or injury.
Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for accurate documentation and easy retrieval.
Assist with patient assessment by understanding basic physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to optimize image quality and diagnostic value.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated according to manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.
Support the healthcare team by providing high-quality patient care, monitoring patient condition during procedures, and responding promptly to any emergencies or adverse reactions.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating MRI scanners; additional experience with CT, DEXA scans, sonography, or vascular access is highly desirable.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
Skilled in using medical imaging software systems such as PACS for image storage and management.
Ability to perform IV insertions (IV insertion) accurately while maintaining aseptic technique.
Familiarity with medical equipment operation, safety procedures, and radiation safety regulations applicable to radiology practices.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient safety regulations and comfort during procedures.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients about procedures.
