Location/Work Arrangement: Hybrid in Tyler, TX., some travel may be required
Pay Range: $58,000 to $78,000
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for growing and securing the operational functionality of the School. This role requires significant interaction with internal SOE departments and external partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supervises Regional Logistics Coordinators and assists them in performing their duties.
2. Responsible for the procurement of supplies and equipment.
3. Develops and maintains employer relationships and the employer portal.
4. Maintain and develop vendor relationships.
5. Coordinates the shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies to all campuses and lab site locations
6. Oversees and develops lab site relationships.
7. Maintains facility needs across all locations.
8. Updates the SOE Instructor Portal with relevant information.
9. Responsible for all travel arrangements for the School.
10. Responsible for the staffing of lab instructors for all labs.
11. Prepares and delivers weekly reports at required meetings.
12. Communicates effectively with the Director team to ensure successful and timely project completion.
13. Enforces catalog and institutional policies among students and staff.
14. Assists in the organizational efforts of all labs.
15. Participates in activities that promote the School of EMS, including student recruiting and program marketing events, as appropriate.
16. Participates in budgetary planning and reporting as needed.
17. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Two years of operational or project management experience preferred.
- Two years of supervisory experience required.
- Healthcare and/or education experience preferred.
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
Preferred
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
Certification and Licensure
- State driver's license required.
- Paramedic or equivalent certification/licensure preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Language Ability: Must exhibit the ability to read, analyze, and interpret education-related material. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures as they relate to teaching certain topics within the EMS curriculum.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience using audiovisual equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include first-level supervision on-site, instruction, lab setup, and testing.
Work Environment
The employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to working in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit, and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Some travel may be required for this position.
