Job Summary

The Client Services Analyst is responsible for the performance of PC systems, equipment maintenance, review of application software and general support for users of PCs. This role must be willing to work weekends, overtime, and travel as needed. The ability to work in all weather conditions from cold to extreme heat, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment is also necessary.

Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

Responsible for the performance of PC systems, equipment maintenance,
review of application software and general
support for users of PCs.
Install, maintain, enhance and support the software and hardware for associated PCs.
Diagnose and recommend solutions for PC problems.
Assist with the relocation of PC computers and associated peripheral equipment while also supporting the installation, maintenance, enhancement, and overall operation of local area networks.
Maintain accurate listing of all PCs and peripherals.
Respond to assigned work orders for PC and peripheral support.
Provide specialized support for mobile devices.
Assist with IT purchase requisitions as needed.
Perform user account management duties for the UT network, Outlook, and other systems as required.
Support development of utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLM) systems as a reference for troubleshooting
Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.
Two years of experience with Apple devices—including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and MDM—combined with two years of hands-on work with computer-related equipment such as PC and software technical support, Microsoft Office products, SMS, Active Directory, Windows and Server updates, computer-room operations, and diagnosing and repairing PC failures.
May accept a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

Mobile Device Management experience.

Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related products (SMS, Active Directory, MS Windows and server updates, computer room operations, and diagnosing and repairing PC failures.)
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with university personnel at all levels.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a record of completing assignments.
Accuracy in all phases of work performed.
Respond flexibly and positively in all circumstances, working calmly under pressure.
Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail.
A self-starter, who will take the initiative to effect positive change.¿
Demonstrated flexibility and initiative in a dynamic work environment.
Ethical.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
