Manufacturing Room Operator

Paterson, NJ

Direct Hire- 2nd shift position.

Job Summary

Operate manufacturing rooms including preparation, disassembly, cleaning & sanitization of fluid bed processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

· Must follow all GMP’s and relevant SOPs to the position.

· Accurately follows batch record.

· Stage raw materials needed for the process.

· Verify all labels with batch records to ensure weights are properly recorded.

· Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

· Ensures the workstation is kept clean and safe during operation.

· Cleans equipment following proper sanitation techniques.

· Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with other co-workers.

· Has strong interaction with representatives from other departments.

· Continuously trains, monitors, and supports the personnel assigned to his/her area of responsibility, including temporary help when applicable.

· Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

· Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications for working in a cGMP, quality environment.

· Ability to maintain a good attendance record.

· Ability to train junior operators.

· Previous experience with Fluid Beds, Sweco, FitzMill, CoMill, Servolift, and other ancillary equipment is strongly desired.

Required Skills and Abilities

· High School education (HS Diploma or GED) or one year mechanical and/or manufacturing experience with good references.

· Ability to stand and keep up in a fast-paced environment.

· Poses a sense of urgency.

· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding).

· Basic computer knowledge.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Able to execute other tasks assigned by Senior Management.

· Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

· Willing to learn and apply new skills.

· Good communication skills to enable communication with area supervisors.

· Must be able to read, write, and have basic math skills.

· Fluency in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 20% of the time.

· Attention to detail.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

· Dynamic manufacturing environment with physical demands.

· Must be able to perform repetitive motion, bending, and lifting.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Industry experience a plus.
