CNC Lathe Set Up Operator – 2nd Shift
Company: Horizon Systems Machining, Inc.
Location: 9121 58th Place, Kenosha, WI 53144
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday – Friday) overtime available
Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate starting at $24.00/hr (Based on knowledge/experience)

Position Overview

Horizon Systems Machining, Inc. currently has an opening for a skilled, full-time CNC Lathe Set Up Operator on our 2nd shift. We are looking for a reliable professional who can independently handle machine setups to produce precision parts. Experience with Mazak machinery and Mazatrol controls is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Mazak Setup & Operation: Perform complete setups and operate CNC Mazak lathe machines using Mazatrol conversational programming.
Program Adjustments: Edit programs, adjust tool offsets, change inserts, and select proper tooling for new production runs.
Quality & Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to machine parts with total accuracy.
First-Article Inspection: Verify dimensions of precision components using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and bore gauges.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

Setup Experience: Proven track record of independently setting up and running CNC Lathes.
Mazatrol Knowledge (Preferred): 1–2 years of direct experience with Mazak machines using Mazatrol controls is a major plus.
Technical Literacy: Strong ability to accurately read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and process sheets.
Inspection Skills: Proficient with precision measuring tools to maintain strict quality standards.
Independence: Self-motivated professional capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision on the 2nd shift.
