Embark on a rewarding journey of mentorship and professional growth aboard stunning waters in the Jersey City area as a Seasonal Training Captain at our locations within the area!

With a diverse fleet of boats at numerous locations, we provide our members with unlimited access to boating experiences without the worries of maintenance, storage, or trailering. We foster a community of boating enthusiasts and pride ourselves on providing top-tier training and a welcoming environment for all skill levels. Make a difference on the water (May-November):As a Seasonal Training Captain, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the boating experiences of our members.

Deliver comprehensive training: Bring our established and industry-leading training to life! From basic safety to advanced offshore maneuvers, our comprehensive curriculum caters to all experience levels, equipping our members for every adventure.
Foster confidence and competence: Guide new members from diverse experience levels, empowering them to safely and confidently navigate the waters, ensuring their enjoyment and fostering a lifelong love of boating.
Become an integral part of a vibrant team: Collaborate with fellow Captains and club staff to ensure seamless member experiences and contribute to the success of our prestigious NY locations.
Collaborate and lead: Foster a positive and supportive environment for fellow captains and club staff, contributing to the seamless operation and success of our prestigious NY locations.

Qualifications to Set Sail:

Valid US Coast Guard Captain's License (required)
Must be 21 years or older
Physical ability to perform the duties of the role
Strong knowledge of boating safety and operation principles
Effectively train and educate individuals
Communicate clearly and build rapport to create a positive learning environment
Maintain composure and navigate stressful situations calmly
Present a professional image and adhere to high standards of personal presentation
Demonstrate initiative and meticulous attention to detail

Thrill new boaters, earn top dollar, and soak up the sun! Guide eager learners through two transformative 3-hour sessions, blending classroom and hands-on experience. Enjoy $100 per 3-hour session, plus captains will also usually earn an extra $50 of commission for the sale of our Peace of Mind plan and score major discounts on your own Freedom Boat Club membership.
