Job Description

Job Title: Caterer/Event Server

Division: KC Hopps, Hopps Catering

Reports to: Catering Director

Summary: Successfully assist with catered events at Hopps Catering.

Operational Responsibilities:

Successfully operate catered events from start thru execution. Including load out from Catering facility, driving to location, set up and operation of events, food presentation and monitoring the buffet line. Complete clean up of events.
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are strictly observed.

Work at all of the KC Hopp's Catering locations including the Blue Moose Food Truck, HyVee Arena, The View at Briarcliff, The Social Club, and any other that we acquire.

Competency:

To perform the job successfully, you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:

Follow the policies and procedures set by K.C. Hopps, Ltd.
Lead by example.

Schedule:

Adhere to a weekly hourly schedule as directed by the Catering Manager & Sales Director.
This position will serve as a hands on position as it relates to event execution.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

At least 1-2 years of catering experience in full-service. (preferred)

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
