Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Team part-time team member to support critical back-office functions that keep UI Charitable running smoothly. This role requires hands-on experience in financial reconciliation, data maintenance, and nonprofit operations, ideal for candidates with experience in bookkeeping and nonprofit management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reconcile 1200+ Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) accounts in QuickBooks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Print and mail physical checks daily to support disbursement and grantmaking operations.
Support data maintenance in our donor portal, including updating holdings, processing contributions, and managing impact lending data.
Collaborate on audit-related projects, such as clearing account audits and other data integrity reviews.
Provide general support to the Finance & Accounting Team, contributing wherever needed to keep operations efficient and compliant.

The above list is not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Administrative Skills: Proficient in office applications such as Google Workspace and QuickBooks and have experience using or the desire to learn to use other applications.
Financial Acumen: Experience with finance and accounting. Comfortable with financial tracking, budgeting, and reporting with a preference for those with experience using Quickbooks.
Communication Skills: This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as candidates will need to liaise with both internal teams and external programs.
Project Management Skills: Candidates should be capable of handling multiple projects at once, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. This also includes the ability to coordinate and communicate with various project leaders.
Analytical Skills: Candidates should be able to interpret data, draw conclusions, and present findings clearly and concisely.
Networking Skills: The ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, donors, and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to solve unforeseen problems quickly and effectively.
Desire to Learn: Candidates should have a strong desire to learn and understand the ins and outs of the UI Charitable tools and programs and their role in achieving social impact.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
Experience with bookkeeping and accounting applications.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The expectation is that candidates would be able to commit 20 hours per week, in person.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
