Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and support of both enterprise IT and manufacturing technology infrastructure across the organization. This role oversees business network operations while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Automation teams to ensure reliable, secure, and resilient manufacturing systems.
A primary responsibility is maintaining the separation and security of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) environments through proper network segmentation, industrial cybersecurity practices, and lifecycle management of industrial assets.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives involving SCADA systems, PLC communications, Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices, wireless manufacturing networks, and enterprise infrastructure while ensuring high system availability for our production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Segmentation
Lead the design and maintenance of secure network architecture that separates enterprise and industrial environments.
Responsibilities include:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience.
- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking.
- Experience administering Microsoft infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Success Measures
Within the first 12 months, the IT Manager will be expected to:

Maintain greater than 99.9% uptime for critical manufacturing systems.
- Complete an assessment and improvement plan for IT/OT network segmentation.
- Establish a centralized inventory of all industrial and IoT devices.
- Implement standardized patch and firmware management for operational technology.
- Reduce cybersecurity vulnerabilities across manufacturing and enterprise environments.
- Develop disaster recovery procedures for critical production systems.
- Improve visibility into manufacturing infrastructure through monitoring and alerting.
- Strengthen collaboration between IT, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to support safe, secure, and reliable food production.
