Full Job Description

Yalobusha Health Services is a Mississippi community health care system located in the heart of the Tri-Lakes area. The hospital serves Yalobusha County and the surrounding area. Yalobusha Health Services has a 26 bed Hospital, 122 bed Nursing Home and 5 medical Clinics, that employs over 300 professionals who provide nurturing care to those needing all types of medical services. Skilled, nurturing care is the pride of Yalobusha Health Services. The physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals will work in partnership with you to meet your healthcare needs. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

Responsibilities Include:

Conduct meal rounds and document residents’ meal consumption and satisfaction.
Participates in meal and menu planning.
Assist in planning resident meals, guides and individuals and families to food selections.
Inputs new resident diets food preferences and allergies and make changes to resident preferences as necessary.
Enters menus in the systems (type) and make changes as necessary.
Inspects unit pantry, dayroom and dining room area daily to assure compliance with health, safety and sanitation requirements and regulations
Adheres to appropriate code of ethics.
Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality.
Perform other tasks as required by the CDM.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of Certified Dietary Manager principles and techniques. Knowledge ofmanagerial functions such as ability to solve practical problems, maintain a budget, report writing and performance improvement tools. Good computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills for interaction with staff, patients, and medical professionals. Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at one time. Skills in planning, coordinating, and measuring departmental activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

License(s), Certification(s), Registration(s) Required: CDM credential from the Board of Dietary Managers.
