Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Tower Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing telecommunications tower construction, maintenance, and modification projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with customer specifications, company standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Tower Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, field crews, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage multiple telecommunications tower construction and modification projects simultaneously.

· Responsible for the management of Construction Managers and/or Project Admin

· Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans while monitoring progress against established milestones.

· Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, engineering teams, permitting agencies, and field personnel.

· Ensure all required permits, site documentation, and project approvals are obtained prior to construction.

· Monitor project costs and profitability, approve invoices, and manage project budgets.

· Track material procurement and equipment availability to support project timelines.

· Conduct project kickoff meetings and provide regular status updates to customers and management.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.

· Review project documentation, change orders, closeout packages, and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness.

· Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.

· Resolve project issues related to scheduling, staffing, materials, quality, and customer concerns.

· Maintain accurate project records and reports using project management software and customer portals.

· Foster positive working relationships with customers while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.

· Three to five years of project management experience, preferably in telecommunications, wireless infrastructure, utility construction, or related industries.

· Working knowledge of wireless tower construction, civil construction, structural modifications, and telecommunications equipment installation.

· Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements and construction best practices.

· Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and project management software.

· Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering plans, and technical specifications.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

· Ability to work in both office and field environments.

· Ability to occasionally climb ladders, walk construction sites, and navigate uneven terrain while conducting site inspections.

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Certifications

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

· OSHA 10- or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.

· First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Work Environment

This position works in a combination of office and outdoor construction environments. Travel to project sites may be required. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project schedules or customer requirements.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
