Depending upon qualifications, the salary range for the Finance Director is $157,104 - $201,084 annually. The City of Puyallup provides a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package for employees and their families. Employees participate in the State of Washington retirement program and can choose additional voluntary deferred compensation. Employees participate in the city's VEBA. The city offers a generous holiday and leave program for its employees.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance or related field and five years of management experience in higher-level governmental accounting, budgeting, fiscal management or related activities required; or a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above.
CGFM (Certified Government Finance Manager), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or master's degree in related field preferred.
Must be bondable.
Possession of or the ability to obtain, and maintain throughout employment, a valid Washington State driver's license.
