Full Job Description

Provide education to PA students in a course in which the adjunct faculty exhibits the requisite knowledge and experience to teach such a course.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to the practice of Physician Assistants.
Knowledge of the skills and tasks that are performable by a primary care Physician Assistant.

Skills:

Effective skills in oral and written communication.

Abilities:

Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.

Required Qualifications

Education:

If PA – Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and possessing a Master’s Degree.
Other than PA: a minimum of a Master’s degree in the field in which instruction is to be provided.

Experience:

If a PA: Minimum two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or 1 year of clinical experience and a Masters degree.
If non-PA: two years of experience with a Master’s degree in a related field. One year of experience with a Doctoral degree in a related field.

Licensure:

For PAs: California Physician Assistant License; NCCPA Certification.
For non-PA – licensure or certification in the related field if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree will be given preference

Preparation, management, and delivery of a course to include content creation, assignments, creating assessments/re-assessments and grading.
