Overview
A Safety Coordinator helps create and maintain a safe workplace by assessing risks, enforcing safety standards, and educating employees. They play a central role in reducing accidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Workplace Safety Oversight
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Evaluate job sites, equipment, and contractor activities for compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations.
- Identify accident trends and recommend corrective actions.
Incident & Risk Management
- Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and vehicle collisions; prepare detailed reports and root‑cause analyses.
- Determine OSHA recordability and maintain required logs and annual reports.
- Support risk‑management evaluations and emergency response planning.
Training & Education
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs tailored to the organization’s needs.
- Train employees on safety procedures, equipment use, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety through communication, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations.
- Assist with safety documentation, permits, and reporting requirements.
- Review construction, renovation, and demolition plans for potential safety issues.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
- Analytical and detail‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Pay- $20.00/hr
Days- 6:00am-2:30pm, Hours may Vary
40 hrs week Plus Overtime

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Supervisory experience is desirable. Requires the ability to meet the objectives of the job description, making sound judgment with respect to working with people with disabilities, staff and contract personnel. Must be professional in attitude, appearance, and work conduct, adhering to all standards of the organization's policies and procedures and code of ethics. Must be able to work without supervision. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Required to maintain a valid California driver's license and good driving record. DMV .
