About Intercultural Family Services, Inc.

·Intercultural Family Services, Inc. (Intercultural) is an independent non-profit 501 (c)(3) human services agency founded in 1979. Since this time we have been committed to serving the needs of children and families in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Through a broad array of culturally competent, collaborative, family-centered programs, we empower the people we serve with the ability to meet the challenges of everyday life and to build a firm foundation for a bright future. Our IBHS department is looking for amazing and dedicated Clinicians. This is an Independent Contractor position. IFS is looking for clinicians that can agree to service students a minimum of 20 hours a week.

Provide specific expertise in behavioral management protocols as needed;
Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques, and recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods;
Serve as a consultant, as requested, by the treatment team;
Provide assessment, program design and monitoring for the program;
Serve as a consultant when questions or conflict around behavioral paradigms arise in other systems, such as the school;
Participate in special child-centered, family focused meetings along with therapist, family, and other involved professionals to provide unified services and community of care to child/adolescent and his/her family and submit a written summary of the meeting within 36 business hours;
Provide individual mentoring and supervision of all assigned BHT staff in addition to conducting weekly group meetings of all BHT assigned staff;
Record behavioral specialist contact on progress notes relating to the progress and/or concerns addressed in the behavioral treatment plan document; and
Performs other related duties required to properly complete the tasks.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
Three year of experience in a private human service agency, with at least one year of direct clinical treatment experience with children.
Mobile Therapists must have a documented internship on their Masters transcript
Knowledge of and sensitivity to community based behavioral health needs of disenfranchised and urban populations
Understanding of wellness concerns presented in communities of ethnic diversity.
Ability to relate within a multicultural work environment.
