We feature a large, experienced tax practice comprised of specialists with international firm and Fortune 500 backgrounds. Dedicated to providing sophisticated, practical tax solutions that reduce overall tax burdens, our practice serves a broad spectrum of clientele-from emerging small businesses to large multinational companies and high-net-worth individuals.

Due to continued prosperity and growth, we are seeking a strategic Tax Manager to join our outstanding Tax Strategies team. In this key role, you will respond to dynamic market opportunities, manage complex client relationships across diverse industries, and play a pivotal part in implementing innovative processes that keep our practice in a leadership position in the regional market.

Responsibilities

Coordinate concurrent tax engagements with leading regional companies, including addressing significant accounting matters, preparing client deliverables, and scheduling project team members.
Perform efficient, accurate, complete, and timely reviews of client tax returns, tax provisions on audit/review engagements, and strategic tax planning/research.
Serve as a key client contact, developing and managing positive working relationships with business owners as well as cross-functional teams in Audit & Accounting, Business Advisory, Human Capital Resources, and Technology Solutions.
Make authoritative decisions on standard and complex tax situations, identifying key issues quickly and prioritizing outputs across competing tasks.
Supervise, mentor, and train staff accountants, fostering team development and building a collaborative working environment.
Help grow our client base by taking an active role in specialized industry groups, developing a productive personal network, and identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications

8-10 years of recent tax experience in public accounting.
CPA certification is preferred.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code & Regulations, with proven progression in tax return complexity, scope, and technical research.
Strong leadership and project management abilities in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of managing multiple tax projects simultaneously while training staff.
Excellent analytical, big-picture strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
Strong commitment to client service, clear communication, a positive attitude, and a desire for continuous professional growth.
Experience representing clients before tax authorities is a plus.
