Duties
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to students’ ages, skill levels, and artistic goals, incorporating vocal techniques, performance skills, and musical theory
- Deliver energetic and motivating voice lessons that emphasize proper breathing, pitch control, diction, and stage presence
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a respectful, inclusive environment that promotes active participation and creative expression
- Incorporate choreography, dance instruction, or movement exercises to enhance performance versatility when appropriate
- Prepare students for performances by coaching stage presence, audition techniques, and repertoire selection
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and lesson plans while providing constructive feedback to students and parents
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching vocal performance, music education, or related arts disciplines with a focus on youth programs or early childhood education
- Strong background in curriculum development for singing instruction across diverse age groups
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
- Experience working with children and understanding childhood development principles
- Familiarity with musical instruments or instrumental performance is a plus for integrated teaching approaches
