Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller specializing in manufacturing and import operations in a virtual setting. Food and Beverage industry experience is greatly desired. The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting and management, cost control and variances, lead month-end close and maintain and reconcile inventory records. This role requires a strong background in various accounting disciplines, including GAAP and heavy cost accounting in a manufacturing and import environment. The Controller will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insights to executive leadership.

Duties

Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing using NetSuite accounting software..
Develop, maintain and present metric reporting.
Work with Senior Accountant to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Manage cash flow and treasury functions including cash management and forecasting to optimize liquidity.
Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and reconcile inventory records across multiple locations (3pls, in-transit, and manufacturing facilities)
Use BOM data and NetSuite to calculate product costs and assess the impact of material changes.
Manage the creation and maintenance of Cost Books and assumption justification files in NetSuite and Excel.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit procedures. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification appreciated but not required.
Extensive experience in corporate and cost accounting within manufacturing or import sectors.
Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite. , SAP, JD Edwards.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and technical accounting principles.
Excellent analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional to contribute significantly to the organization’s success by ensuring robust and timely financial and variance reporting.
