Director – Adelante Family Resource Center

La Puente Home, Inc. | Alamosa, Colorado Full-Time | $58,000–$80,000/year, depending on qualifications and licensure

About the Position

La Puente Home is seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to serve as Director of Adelante Family Resource Center, a program supporting individuals and families throughout Colorado's San Luis Valley.

Adelante brings together supportive housing, family support services, resource navigation, behavioral health partnerships, and community-based services to help families achieve greater stability and independence.

We are looking for a strong human services leader with experience managing people and programs. Licensed behavioral health professionals, including LCSWs and LPCs, are strongly encouraged to apply; however, clinical licensure is not required.

The position and compensation will reflect the qualifications of the successful candidate. Candidates with qualifying clinical licensure who can provide clinical leadership and support the development of Medicaid-billable services are eligible for our higher compensation range.

Compensation

$58,000–$64,000/year For candidates with strong human services, nonprofit, supportive housing, behavioral health, or program-management experience who do not hold a qualifying clinical license.

$68,000–$80,000/year For candidates with qualifying clinical licensure, such as an LCSW or LPC, based on experience, credentials, and ability to provide clinical supervision and support Medicaid-related services.

What You'll Do

As Director, you will provide overall leadership for Adelante's programs, staff, funding, partnerships, and services. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines program management with meaningful community impact.

Leadership & Staff Development

Lead and support a multidisciplinary team serving individuals and families.
Provide regular supervision, coaching, case consultation, and professional development.
Build a positive culture centered on dignity, accountability, collaboration, and quality service.
Support staff in responding effectively to complex client and family needs.

Supportive Housing & Family Services

Oversee operations for 27 supportive housing units.
Ensure compliance with applicable housing requirements and regulations.
Oversee Family Resource Center services, referrals, and program requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with community partners and participate in coordinated community initiatives.

Program, Grant & Fiscal Management

Participate in annual budget development and oversee program spending.
Monitor grant requirements, expenditures, deadlines, and reporting.
Work closely with La Puente's Finance and Development teams.
Ensure accurate program documentation, financial records, and compliance.
Help maintain funding streams and identify opportunities for program development.

Behavioral Health & Medicaid

Help oversee and develop Medicaid billing processes for supportive services.
Work with La Puente's clinical oversight personnel to maintain appropriate policies, procedures, and compliance.
For appropriately licensed candidates: provide clinical leadership and supervision consistent with credentials and program needs.

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant experience in social work, counseling, behavioral health, human services, supportive housing, public administration, nonprofit services, or a related field.
Experience supervising employees and managing community-based programs.
Knowledge of or experience with supportive housing, family services, behavioral health systems, or grant-funded programs.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage budgets, documentation, deadlines, and multiple program requirements.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the San Luis Valley as needed.

Highly Desired Qualifications

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or other qualifying credential with the ability to provide clinical supervision.
Experience with Medicaid billing, documentation, or compliance.
Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, behavioral health, human services, public administration, or a related field.
Experience with supportive housing or housing programs.
Nonprofit administration and grant-management experience.
Knowledge of landlord-tenant practices and housing regulations.
