Full Job Description

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, Adobe Experience Cloud, you'll be the person clients and cross-functional teams trust to keep a complex Adobe engagement, Workfront, Fusion, AEM, AEP, or Commerce, on time, on scope, and on budget. You'll own the project from kickoff through go-live: building the plan, running point with clients, keeping risk and budget on-track, and coordinating every aspect of project execution. You’ll create the project plan, assign work, hold team members accountable, set and manage client expectations and keep the project on course. You’ll work closely with clients, team members and other project managers to drive progress and create successful, enthusiastic client advocates.

This role suits a strategic project leader, someone just as comfortable forming a new project team and crafting a detailed project plan as they are calmly explaining why a new client request requires a change order.

What You'll Do

Own end-to-end delivery of Adobe Experience Cloud engagements (Workfront, AEM, AEP, Commerce, Analytics, Target), keeping projects on time, in scope, and on budget.
Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones tied to real client business outcomes, not just a task list.
Act as the primary point of contact between clients, our consultants, developers, and partners throughout the life of the project.
Manage risk, dependencies, and change requests, escalating early and communicating difficult updates clearly and calmly.
Evaluate project plan to actual progress, budget burn down, staff utilization and identify ways to optimize all of these.
Own project financials, budget, margin, forecasting, and resource utilization, so surprises don't show up at the end.
Track progress and KPIs, and deliver clear, regular status reporting to stakeholders.
Coordinate staffing and resourcing with the delivery team so every project has what it actually needs.
Facilitate whatever cadence the project calls for, Agile ceremonies or waterfall milestones, without forcing a framework that doesn't fit the client.
Review deliverables for quality before they reach the client, and flag process improvements as you see them.
Capture lessons learned at project close and feed them back into how we deliver next time.

What You Bring

7+ years managing technology projects, ideally in an agency, consultancy, or professional services environment.
Hands-on experience managing Adobe Experience Cloud projects: Workfront, AEM, AEP, Commerce, Analytics, or Target.
A real track record owning project budgets and financials, not just tracking tasks and dates.
Comfort moving between Agile and Waterfall, and the judgment to use whichever one actually serves the project.
Ability to effectively use AI ( e.g. Claude, CoPilot ) in all activities. If you’re new to AI-augmented consulting, we will teach you.
Confident, clear communication. You can walk a client executive through a hard tradeoff and a developer through a technical blocker in the same afternoon, without changing your story.
Experience managing cross-functional, sometimes cross-timezone, teams.
A consulting mindset: you dig past the stated ask, are a strategic thinker who guides systematically, and bring options instead of just executing a plan.
Ability to work independently in a lean, fast-moving environment.

Nice to have: PMP, Scrum, or Agile certification; Adobe Experience Cloud certifications (Workfront, AEM, AEP, Analytics, Target).

Compensation

$60 to $80 per hour, commensurate with experience and project scope.

This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement. Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and insurance. Opportunities for 10, 20, 30, or 40 hours/week.
