RESTAURANT HOST/HOSTESS

Sand Hollow Resort is a premier destination to Escape. Play. Discover. Relax. One of Southern Utah’s top-ranked golf destinations, our golf course is ranked in the top 50 out of the 100 top resort golf courses. The resort encompasses over 180 units ranging from one (1) to six (6) bedrooms for guests to relax in during their stay. Dine in our picturesque restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous Southern Utah mountain ranges, ending your evening with a concert underneath the stars in our gorgeous Rock Bowl.

If you have a strong work ethic and enjoy making a difference every day, we would love to have you join us! We seek Restaurant Hosts/Hostesses to join our team at The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort.

The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for the restaurant's first impression. To be successful in this role, you must have a positive, friendly attitude and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience in customer service in a fast-paced environment is highly desired.

Host Responsibilities

Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name
Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
Manage the flow of Guests into the dining areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
Tend to special guest needs and requests
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Host Requirements:

Positive, upbeat attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Able to perform high-quality work with little supervision
Must be able to walk and stand during the entire shift
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Team player
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Active listening
Customer-centric
High school diploma: food safety training will be considered a plus
Must have availability to work weekends and holidays

Shift: Morning, Day, Evening

Salary: $14/hr + tips

Pay: $14.00 per hour
