Position: Apprentice Private Investigator
Note: This position is for subcontractors, meaning you will not be an employee of Salt Lake Investigations. You will be responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business-related expenses.
Job Description:
- Role: You will start as an apprentice (if approved by DOPL) with the potential for growth into a full private investigator role.
- Responsibilities: Assist with various investigative tasks, which mostly include surveillance for family law cases and insurance claims investigations. You will work closely with experienced investigators to learn on-the-job skills.
- Training: You will pay DOPL to obtain your apprentice license and Salt Lake Investigations will sponsor your Private Investigator Apprentice license upon meeting the necessary state requirements, facilitating your professional development.
Requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check as mandated by the State of Utah.
- Vehicle: You must own a nondescript reliable vehicle for travel to various locations for assignments. You will need to get the windows tinted to 35% on the front and darker on the rear windows.
- Insurance: As a subcontractor, you are required to maintain your own insurance.
- Availability: Must be flexible with work hours, including mornings, days, evenings, and weekends. The nature of private investigation means we cannot always choose our working times.
