POSITION OVERVIEW

Join one of Utah's most talented pastry teams and learn from the best in the craft. Together, you'll bring dough, batters, and fillings to life, creating pastries, cakes, pies, cookies, tarts, and desserts that our guests look forward to. In this role, you'll bake each item to perfection, making sure every pastry and dessert meets the quality standards our reputation is built on. You'll work from standardized recipes that have stood the test of time, while also having the creative freedom to develop new ones and bring your own pastry ideas to life. From the first mix to the final flourish, you'll decorate and finish each creation with icing, glazing, garnishing, and the artistic techniques that turn a dessert into something memorable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare the highest quality of food products for the cafe according to menu descriptions
Regularly restock kitchen supplies and food items along with maintaining the cleanliness of your area
Ability to work in a collaborative environment all while maintaining professionalism
Assist in opening and closing procedures including cleaning to set up next shift for success
Writing a prep list to communicate needs for the next day
Able to fulfill guest orders in a timely manner with skillful attention to detail
AM/Early Shift Required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Culinary Education (preferred): Formal training in pastry arts or a culinary program can be beneficial.
Experience: Prior experience as a pastry cook or baker in a professional kitchen or bakery.
Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring ingredients, baking times, and decoration techniques.
Creativity: Ability to innovate and create visually appealing and unique pastries.
Time Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
Physical Stamina: The role often requires long hours on your feet and the ability to lift heavy ingredients or equipment.
