Patient Care & Practice Coordinator

Eric Cerrati, MD Facial Plastic Surgery | Salt Lake City & Park City, Utah

Eric Cerrati, MD Facial Plastic Surgery is seeking a highly organized, proactive Patient Care & Practice Coordinator to join our growing facial plastic surgery practice.

This is a key role within a small, high-touch team. While the position includes regular patient interaction, much of the role is administrative in nature and focused on keeping the practice organized, supporting our Patient Care Coordinators, and ensuring important details and deadlines are consistently handled.

The ideal candidate is polished, warm, exceptionally organized, and comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities. We are looking for someone who anticipates what needs to be done, follows through without constant direction, and genuinely enjoys being part of a team committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with ongoing QUAD A accreditation maintenance, including required documentation, logs, training records, and recurring compliance requirements
Work extensively within Nextech EMR and Practice Management
Coordinate and conduct pre-operative patient calls, ensuring patients are prepared for upcoming procedures and understand required next steps
Provide cross-coverage for our Patient Care Coordinators, helping ensure continuity of patient care and practice operations
Maintain the practice's office and surgical calendars with exceptional attention to detail
Manage Dr. Cerrati's professional calendar and assist with scheduling and coordination as needed
Coordinate and maintain hospital credentialing and recredentialing, including required documentation and renewal deadlines
Coordinate with the clinical, surgical, and administrative teams to help ensure a seamless patient experience from consultation through surgery and follow-up
Maintain accurate patient information and support ongoing quality assurance and administrative processes
Assist with practice workflow, organization, and special projects as the practice continues to grow
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and the overall patient experience
Provide front desk and patient coordination coverage on Fridays, including patient check-in/check-out and general front-office support
Assist with answering and routing phone calls as needed

What We're Looking For

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Reliable, discreet, and able to handle confidential patient and practice information appropriately
Collaborative and willing to step outside a narrowly defined job description when the team needs support
Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
Strong working knowledge of electronic medical records and medical office workflows
Nextech experience strongly preferred
A true team player who is willing to take on additional responsibilities as the practice continues to grow

Preferred Experience

Experience working with an electronic medical record (EMR) system
Nextech EMR/Practice Management experience strongly preferred
Previous experience in plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, cosmetic medicine, dermatology, ENT, or another high-touch medical or surgical practice
Surgical patient coordination and pre-operative patient communication
Medical practice accreditation, quality assurance, or compliance
Physician credentialing and recredentialing
Medical scheduling and calendar management

As the practice continues to grow, there will be opportunities for this role to expand in scope and responsibility. We are looking for someone who wants to become an integral, trusted member of the practice rather than simply fill an administrative position.

Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, with occasional responsibilities related to our Park City location
