Group Sales Manager

Zermatt Resort & Spa | Midway, Utah

Zermatt Resort & Spa is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Group Sales Manager to generate new group business and maximize revenue through the sale of guest rooms, meeting space, and catering services.

Candidates must have prior hotel or resort group sales experience. This position is ideal for a results-driven hospitality sales professional who enjoys developing new business, building lasting client relationships, and creating memorable resort experiences.

The Group Sales Manager will oversee the sales process from initial inquiry through contract execution and collaborate closely with Conference Services, Food & Beverage, and resort operations to ensure a seamless transition from sale to event execution.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively generate new group business through prospecting, sales calls, networking, referrals, community outreach, and site visits.
Respond to inquiries for meetings, conferences, corporate retreats, weddings, group accommodations, and catered events.
Prepare professional proposals, contracts, and group sales agreements.
Conduct engaging property tours featuring guest rooms, meeting and banquet facilities, and resort amenities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting planners, and community partners.
Collaborate with Conference Services, Catering, Food & Beverage, and Operations to support successful events.
Maintain accurate account information, client communications, leads, and sales activities in the resort’s CRM and sales systems.
Meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Represent Zermatt Resort & Spa at networking functions, trade shows, and industry events.
Follow resort policies, procedures, and guest-service standards.

Required Qualifications

Prior hotel or resort group sales experience is required.
Experience using Salesforce, Cvent, and Delphi is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of group sales, catering, meetings, conferences, and event planning.
Proven ability to prospect, generate new business, and manage multiple client accounts.
Experience managing leads, accounts, proposals, contracts, room blocks, and event details through CRM and hospitality sales platforms.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organization, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Professional, self-motivated, results-oriented, and guest-focused.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing leads, accounts, proposals, contracts, room blocks, and event details through CRM and hospitality sales platforms.
Established relationships within the meetings, events, hospitality, or local business community.

Additional Requirements

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for client events and trade shows.
Ability to travel locally for sales calls, networking events, and community outreach.
Ability to stand, walk, and conduct property tours for extended periods.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
