These baked goods are distributed to various Dining locations across campus.</p><p></p><p><b>What you'll do in this role:</b></p><ul><li><p>Learn bakery standard operations procedures</p></li><li><p>Production of cakes, breads, cookies and desserts for campus dining operations</p></li><li><p>Prepare and organize orders</p></li><li><p>Utilize computerized inventory/ordering system to establish production schedules</p></li><li><p>Verify product inventories</p></li><li><p>Completing training and food safety courses per CSC requirements</p></li><li><p>Cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment and preparation surfaces</p></li><li><p>Supervise part-time and student employees</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What qualifies you for this role:</b></p><p><b></b></p><p><b>Required</b></p><ul><li><p>A firm commitment to the mission of BYU</p></li><li><p>1 year of full-time equivalent bakery production experience or a culinary certification/degree from an accredited culinary school</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span class="emphasis-3">A physical exam and lift test will be conducted as a part of the hiring process for this position. </span></p><p></p><p><i>Physical Effort:</i></p><ul><li><p><i>Moderate - Physical effort represented by frequent handling of medium weight objects (approx. 20-50 lbs) and materials, or use of medium weight hand tools. May require climbing and working from ladders or in awkward positions.</i></p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Environment:</i></p><ul><li><p><i>Periodic exposure to unfavorable conditions because of unavoidable need to be in variable temperatures or wet environments.</i></p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Hazards:</i></p><ul><li><p><i>Moderate or existing potential hazards. </i></p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Typical Physical Efforts, Environmental Factors, and Hazards:</i></p><ul><li><p><i>Product is kept in freezers. Employee must organize freezer inventory daily for approximately 30 minutes.
