At Palisades Counseling, we want to create an atmosphere of safety and support for people as they search for peace and well-being. About the Role:

As our receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients—responsibilities include:

Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office, ensuring a positive first impression.
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
Maintain the reception area and ensure it is neat, organized, and welcoming.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars for staff as needed.
Provide administrative support such as data entry, document preparation, and maintaining filing systems.
Assist in coordinating office events, meetings, and travel arrangements.
Handle office supplies inventory and reorder supplies as necessary.
Address and resolve visitor inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.]

What We’re Looking For:

Must Have a high school diploma: or equivalent; additional qualifications as a receptionist or in related fields is a plus.
Experience in a Medical or Dental Office (preferred): You’re comfortable managing schedules, handling sensitive information, calling insurance, collections and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using office equipment: including computers, printers, and telecommunication systems.
Knowledge of relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, CRM systems).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Basic understanding of accounting or bookkeeping practices is a plus.
Strong Customer Service Skills: you genuinely enjoy helping people and strive to make every interaction positive.
Desire to Learn: you’re open to training, feedback, and growing in your role.
Takes Initiative: you notice what needs to be done and step in to help without being asked.
Relationship Builder: you take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere and forming connections with our clients to support their experience.
