Job Title: Mortgage Loan Processor / Commercial Mortgage Loan Servicing
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: New York, NY / New Jersey — Remote; candidates must be local to NY/NJ and able to report to the Manhattan office if requested
Required Pay Scale: 25-30/hr
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM ESTWork Authorization: Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor / Commercial Mortgage Loan Servicing professional to support commercial mortgage loan servicing and portfolio operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial mortgage loan servicing, commercial lending, loan processing, financial reporting, and operational support.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Project Details:
- Support the servicing and administration of a commercial mortgage loan portfolio.
- Process and research loan transactions, payments, collections, disbursements, advances, paydowns, adjustments, and related accounting activities.
- Prepare and review amortization schedules, payment histories, payoff statements, escrow-related information, and billing requests.
- Support financial, investment, statutory, tax, and operational reporting.
- Perform loan accounting, reconciliation, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and review portfolio and operational reports.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting and operational requests.
- Work with internal teams, borrowers, servicers, and external stakeholders to resolve loan-related issues.
- Support system enhancements, testing, reporting improvements, and process optimization.
- Ensure transactions and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Must Have
- Candidates with strong commercial mortgage loan processing/servicing experience using comparable platforms will also be considered.
- Experience in commercial mortgage lending, mortgage investment, insurance, or commercial real estate lending.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial mortgage loan servicing or commercial loan servicing experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience supporting loan operations, financial reporting, and operational reporting.
- Strong understanding of commercial mortgage/loan operations and accounting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and training.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
Desired Skills
- SQL query development and report writing.
- Recent hands-on experience with SS&C Precision LM (PLM) within the last 3–5 years is strongly preferred.
- Microsoft SQL Server.
- Qlik Sense.
- Crystal Reports.
- Business Objects.
- Experience with construction loans.
- Reporting and database technologies.
- Process improvement and workflow optimization.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.
