Join our Stabilization Center and provide comprehensive treatment to those affected by substance use, mental health, and other behavioral health disorders.

Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 up to 19 hours per week

Position: Stabilization Center Clinical Supervisor

Division: Behavioral Health Care

Status: Part time per diem

Location: Herkimer, NY

Base Schedule: up to 19 hours per week

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC) Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring ICSC services are provided consistent with “best practices” as well as with the local and State Office of Mental Health, Office of Addiction Services and Supports and Department of Health guidelines/regulations and contracts. She/he/they plans, organizes and manages the overall service delivery, has immediate supervisory responsibility for the activities of the ICSC. She/he/they is expected to work in complex situations with a high degree of independence. She/he/they is responsible for coordinating an interdisciplinary team to ensure a high quality of care coordination and may be required to assist with de-briefing and necessary crisis assessments as needed.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Participates in the staff selection process and provides day-to-day program leadership, staff orientation and training, staff supervision, conducts staff performance appraisals and professional development opportunities for the ICSC team in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Monitor the program schedule, ensure proper staffing and look for coverage to fill gaps.
Maintain relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, hospital systems and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate with Information Technology regarding the use of technology.
Ensures the timely delivery of short-term mental health and substance use crisis intervention, follow-up and linkage to community resources and supports.
Ensures the ICSC provides quality assessment services for children and adults including comprehensive crisis assessment and suicide/homicide lethality.
Ensures accurate documentation of client and agency contacts in accordance with program policy and ensures that procedure manuals are maintained.
Assists in clinical and administrative review of cases for quality assurance.
Ensures systems are in place to provide effective outcome monitoring and continuous quality improvement in all program functions.
Assumes on-call, and administrative back-up responsibilities consistent with program needs.
Ensures program compliance and enforces standards in accordance with all local, state, and federal governing laws and regulations which include but are not limited to: HIPAA regulations and confidentiality.
Ensures timely completion of required internal and external reports and that the program is in compliance with agency, contract holders and other applicable regulatory mandates.
Convenes staff meetings to discuss service delivery, policies and procedures and to obtain input in goal setting for program operation.
Conducts regular supervision with direct reports/team members as assigned by agency supervisor/administrators on both an informal and formal basis.
Provides education and training for team members and facilitates the orientation process for staff.
Develop policies, procedures, establish program goals and conducts evaluation.
Attends and actively participates in all required training, staff meetings and case conferences as required by agency administration.
Provides short-term crisis intervention and diffusion for children and adults including comprehensive crisis assessment and suicide/homicide lethality.
Makes recommendations and assists in facilitating the appropriate level of treatment/services/supports.
Provides Agency representation at a variety of community meetings to foster relationships.
Engages in agency/program projects or work groups as assigned by the Program Director.
Provides educational/ marketing /training presentations to the community, as assigned by the Program Director.
Secures and maintains all necessary certification and professional licensing as dictated by the profession and required qualifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) licensed by the New York State Education Department and three (3) years of experience in the provision of mental health services or substance use services and one (1) year staff supervisory experience required.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed by the New York State Education Department and two (2) years of experience in the provision of mental health services or substance use services and one (1) year staff supervisory experience

A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensed by the New York State Education Department and three (3) years of experience in the provision of mental health or substance use services and one (1) year staff supervisory experience

A Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensed by the New York State Education Department three (3) years of experience in the provision of mental health or substance use services and one (1) year staff supervisory experience

AND

Possesses demonstrated strong experience and knowledge of program design and development, strategic planning, and change management.
Possesses demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences as well as the demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with various levels of government, community leaders and providers.
possesses strong organizational and assessment skills with the ability to be flexible and work independently.
Clean and Valid NYS drivers license.
Experience working well as a team member.
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and agencies within the community.
