Job Summary

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to health and wellness.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental X-rays.
Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote optimal patient management and care.
Perform dental instrument processing tasks including sterilization procedures, inventory management of dental equipment, and ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed.
Support front desk operations by handling patient management software tasks related to appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and maintaining a welcoming environment as a dental receptionist.

Experience

Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is familiarity with general dentistry practices is necessary.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry practices, and knowledge of dental terminology is required.
Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, medical documentation, and medical coding is advantageous.
Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control protocols such as aseptic technique and infection control standards is necessary.
Knowledge of dental equipment operation—including endodontic tools, prosthodontic devices, oral surgery instruments.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and work collaboratively within a team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care.
