Davis Selected Advisers is currently seeking a Tax Accountant. This position will work with all levels of staff and management. This position is located in Tucson, Arizona. Applicants must be local.

The primary job responsibilities for this tax accountant position include:

Support organization's mutual fund department including taxation & performance
Assist in the computation of capital gain and income distribution to meet income & excise tax requirements
Quarterly review of wash sales
Prepare SEC Yields
Prepare after-tax returns
Review financial statements of Passive Foreign Investment Companies and prepare analysis
Assist in the review of Federal, State & Excise tax returns prepared by external accountants
Other tasks as assigned

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

College degree in accounting or finance preferable
Ability to work independently as well as within a team structure
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to learn and adapt to change
Strong work ethic
Organizational skills necessary to meet deadlines and process several projects simultaneously
Strong analytical skills and ability to work well in a changing environment
