Onsite Pallet Repair Manager — Big-Box DC Reverse Logistics
Location: Lake Park, GA
Company: Pallet Supply LLC
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Reports To: Regional Operations Director
Why This Role
Pallet Supply LLC runs onsite pallet repair, asset recovery, and recycling operations embedded inside the country's largest big-box distribution centers. We're not a vendor that drops off pallets — we live on the dock, run the bailout area, and turn what most DCs call "trash" into a P&L.
We're hiring an Onsite Pallet Repair Manager to run a high-volume site end-to-end. If you've spent your career inside a Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, Costco, or similar big-box DC running the bailout / returns / recycling side of the building — pallet sort, asset return separation, cardboard and plastic recycling, claims and salvage — this role was built for you.
What You'll Own
You are the site. You run the people, the production, the safety record, the client relationship, and the numbers.
- Reverse logistics flow — pallet sort and separation, asset return processing, cardboard baling, plastic recovery, and any other recyclable streams the host DC generates.
- Pallet repair production — daily output targets, quality grading (GMA / 48x40, custom sizes), nail gun / repair table / band saw operations, scrap and dismantle yields.
- People — forklift drivers, repair techs, sorters, baler operators, shift supervisors, and admin staff. You hire, train, schedule, coach, and hold the line on accountability.
- Safety — OSHA compliance, lockout/tagout, PIT/forklift program, daily huddles, near-miss reporting, and audit-ready documentation.
- Client relationship — you are the face of Pallet Supply to the host DC's GM, ops managers, and asset protection team. You manage expectations, surface issues early, and never let the client be surprised.
- Site P&L — labor hours, headcount, material costs, repair efficiency, recycled material revenue, and bonus targets.
- Continuous improvement — every site has waste in it. You find it, fix it, and make the run rate better next quarter than it was last quarter.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 10+ years in warehouse, distribution, or industrial operations — inside a big-box retail DC (Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, Costco, Sam's Club, Amazon, or comparable).
- 5+ years in a supervisor, manager, or area-manager role with direct hire/fire authority.
- Hands-on expertise in reverse logistics: asset return separation, pallet separation and grading, cardboard and plastic recycling streams, baler operations, and salvage/claims handling.
- Working knowledge of pallet repair workflow, tooling, and grading standards.
- Forklift certified, or able to certify within 30 days of hire.
- Comfortable on a tablet — ERP, timekeeping, and daily reporting are part of the job.
- Strong written and verbal communication; you can write a clear shift report and run a stand-up that people actually listen to.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience as an embedded vendor or 3PL inside a host DC.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen exposure.
- Familiarity with pallet industry standards (NWPCA, GMA grades, IPPC/ISPM-15).
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base — hourly or salary, set against your experience.
- Weekly pay.
- Quarterly site-performance bonus tied to production, quality, and recycling yield.
- Health, dental, and vision.
- Paid time off.
- Real growth path — we're expanding into new DCs across the Southeast and we promote from inside the operation.
