Description:
The Purchasing Manager in Texas oversees the procurement of materials and services for our company. We're looking for a strategic thinker with a proven background in purchasing and supply chain management. The Purchasing Manager will develop and implement purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the delivery of materials in time. This role requires a strong technical background, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our teams. This position oversees purchasing staff and works closely with other departments such as sales, operations, finance, and other stakeholders.
Purchasing Manager Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Five (5+) plus years of demonstrated success as a Purchasing Manager in the building materials industry
- Solid understanding of purchasing principles and practices
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Experience with purchasing software and systems (e.g., ERP, procurement platforms)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Purchasing Manager Position Responsibilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts
- Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
