Position Overview
The Assistant Controller assists the Controller who oversees our accounting team while working with other departments to manage all accounting activities. This role includes preparation of reports and other financial information to assist with strategic decision making.

Key Qualifications
- Financial Reports & Closes: Manage accounting functions (A/P, A/R & Overhead) and assist with the timely, accurate preparation of monthly internal reports and annual financial statements.
- Job Cost: Confirm budgets are accurately entered. Review costs vs. budgets multiple times during the project with the project managers to verify costs are being properly allocated. Update the weekly master general conditions budget and review document for the Monday morning review meeting. Direct accounting team to keep project budgets, job cost entries and updates current and accurate.
- General Ledger & Reconciliation: Perform and review monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.

This position is in our main office (Woodland Hills). You will be assisting the Controller in overseeing the accounting and human resources department and work closely with the Executive team to ensure the company meets deadlines, resolves issues, and follows through with commitments.

Education/Experience
- Must have 5+ years of experience in an accounting role in the construction industry.
- Solid understanding in job cost adjustments, retention, and AIA billing.
- Must have excellent computer skills and be able to demonstrate proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Acumatica.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment, able to multi-task, meet critical deadlines with eye for accuracy and attention to details.
- Ability to work with all levels of project staff and organization.

In accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is $105,500.00 - $124,000.00. Compensation in other cities may vary. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
